Hallway Conversations
One of the benefits of face to face conferences is all the networking and meeting people. To facilitate this type of connecting and interacting, this conference will use Desire2Learn's Pager Feature. The pager allows you to "page" other participants. If you page someone who is online and available, it is near real-time communication. However you can also page those who are offline and they will receive your message when they come back online.

Sending a Page
The easiest way to send a page is to click Classlist from the menu and click the students tab. Everyone with a green dot is online right now. Click on a name to page a colleague. (During the conference, the Hallway Link will go to the Classlist as well.)

Receiving a Page
Click My Home (top left) to go back to your D2L home page.
In the top right, click the Pager icon . There you will see your messages.
Also, you can go to My Home, My Preferences, Paging, to change the sound of your page.

Tech Check
Make sure your computer can get into Desire2Learn. Use the D2L System Check.
