Online Conference Format
Due to expected participation from institutions around the world, the majority of the conference will be conducted in an asychronous discussion format. This format will be supplemented with live online events scheduled to accommodate as many time zones as possible. In addition, we are encouraging institutions with several people attending to schedule local face-to-face sessions to assist staff in logging into the conference, getting oriented to the online conference format, and to provide any needed technical support.

Planning Your Time
For each strand you want to attend, plan to spend about an hour a day participating in the discussion and reading the presentations. Budget your time to attend the conference based on how many strands you want to attend. If you plan to be online much of the day during the conference, consider being a volunteer!

Participation Record
If you need to show evidence of participation in the conference to your supervisor or administrator, use these instructions at the end of the conference to print a record of your login and discussion activity.
Administrators: If you need additional documentation, you may wish to have your staff keep a participation log with time spent and activities completed. The conference will have more materials than one person could access or explore during the four days and will be open after the conference for exploration. A self-reported participation log plus the Desire2Learn login/viewing/posting record should provide sufficient documentation.
