This course assumes
that you have already thought through addressing the learning principles
and standards required by your institution. If necessary, complete that
work on your course too.
Introduction
As
is true in face to face courses, there are many possibilities for learning
experiences online. Which will you include in your course? Consider
this week how you prefer to teach face to face; and explore options
and new strategies for online learning experiences.
1. Construct
the learning experiences for at least one module/week of your
course and post for feedback. Write the instructions necessary for
your students to complete the experiences. Include any links necessary.
See the Resources section for materials
to help create many kinds of learning activities online.
2. Update your
syllabus to include information related to the learning experiences:
i.e. a rationale for interaction, a description of each type of learning
activity, rationale for faith integration online, description of module
or weekly template and required work, etc. Include also the template
and timeline of topics (i.e. your template), and a calendar
of activities/assignments (with as much as you have so far).
Then post
(Word, HTML or PDF) your module and updated syllabus in
the Discussion Board for feedback (one message for each). Share in your
posting how your updated syllabus and/or new module materials address
the integration of faith and learning in your course.
Timing:
