The University of Central Florida team shared with us all kinds of valuable information on things to do to ensure success and pitfalls to avoid. The presenters were:

   Frank Juge - Vice Provost
   Joel Hartman - Vice Provost for Information Technologies & Resources
   Steve Sorg - Interim Director Distributed Learning
   Barbara Truman-Davis - Director, Course Development & Web Services

We appreciated the wide range of issues and areas they covered including:

   Sharing a great example of what positive things can happen when a developing program is supported
by the administration, resource team, and faculty. Teamwork!

   Addressing many questions and problems that we had discussed previous to their presentation;
plus, they brought up many areas that we had not yet considered.

   Speaking of specific problems and solutions rather than using broad generalities plus they were open
to our pressing questions for detailed answers.

The presenters were genuine, enthusiastic and inspiring. After their presentation our group was all the more committed to overcome all obstacles in order to develop an effective virtual education collaboration program.

Distributed Learning Faculty Workshops
UCF has developed a tremendous distributed program in just a few years. This is a course that all online teachers must take before they can teach online courses. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Course Development and Web Services
This is the UCF support site for faculty.
