Using a Netscape bookmark file to create a web page

Note: These instructions are for Netscape only. As far as I know you can't do this with Internet Explorer. If you use Internet Explorer as your browser, you can skip this page.

  1. Add and organize your bookmarks. Review the instructions if necessary.
  2. Save your bookmarks file to the same folder as your other web pages are.
    1. Click on Bookmark, Edit Bookmarks.
    2. Click File, Save As... and save to the folder with your other web pages. I can't tell you how to do this part step by step because every computer out there is different.
  3. Open the bookmark file in your web editor. Notice all the links are already created for you. Add a heading, change the fonts, reorganize. Add annotations and descriptions after the links so students know what each link is and why they should go there.
