Previewing the Page
Claris HomePage has four ways to view your page.
The pencil button edits the page.
The page button previews the page in HomePage. This is useful for checking links between pages you have created. However, Outside links and animations will not work.
The </> button views the HTML of your page! See all the hard work you did! Aren't you glad HomePage is writing the HTML for you?! I use this feature only when something is wrong and I'm trying to figure it out. Generally you won't need this.
The Preview in Browser button saves your page and loads it into the browser of your choice. It is helpful to preview your page in both Netscape and Internet Explorer on both MACs and PCs. Your page will probably look different on different computers and with different browsers. Note: Sometimes to see the changes you need to use the Reload/Refresh button in your browser. If you think it didn't make your changes, try Reload first.
Note: Preview in Browser will only work in HomePage knows the location of Netscape and Internet Explorer on your computer. If Netscape or Explorer is not listed when you press this button, you will have to locate the program on your computer. On the PC, it is probably found in the Program Files folder on your hard drive. On the Mac, in could be in the Hard Drive, or in the Applications folder on the hard drive, or in an Internet folder on the hard drive.
