Image Maps

For an example of how an image map works, see this Leadership page that I created when I was maintaining the Leadership web site. (I don't maintain it anymore). Notice how you can click on different parts of the page to jump to different pages. Don't worry about learning this feature unless you really have a use for it.

Image Maps
Image maps make it possible for the person browsing to click on parts of an image and jump to different pages. Claris Home Page makes it easy to make client-side image maps, which mean everything necessary for the image map is within your HTML document.

Double click on the image to get the Object Editor box.
Click on the Behavior tab.

Click in the Image Map radio button.

Click on Edit... to define the links you will see a screen like the following:

Use the two link tools (rectangle and circle) to define the area of the image that will link elsewhere. After you define the area, the link editor comes up and you can enter the URL as defined before.

When you're finished, close the window(s) to go back to your document.
