Tips for Working with Your Team
Several of you have mentioned that it is hard to get together with your team. Here are some tips that will hopefully make it a little easier. If you have another others, share them with us and we'll add them to this page.
- Establish a schedule that facilitates getting the work done. Here's an example.
- Login individually at the beginning of the week. See what the files are to be edited this week and think about which one(s) you'd like to do.
- Meet with your team on Monday or Tuesday. Finalize who will do which files.
- Work alone for the rest of the week.
- At the end of the week (or the beginning of the next week), see what your team members have done and make suggestions if necessary.
- There are three options for communicating with each other.
- Scheduling a time to chat is great because you can discuss in realtime. However, it may be very difficult to get together at that time.
- WebCTMail is another option. This keeps the mail separate from your everyday mail. To mail your team members all at once, go to Team WebQuests and click on the mail icon next to your Team #. This will mail all of your team members and a copy will go to you.
- Another option is the "old fashioned" email way! If you check your email daily and like to have just one place to check for messages, share your email addresses with each other and negotiate your projects via email.
- You may think of others.
Our goal with the teams was to help you make a webquest without having to do all the work yourself! We can make this work. If you have any other ideas, let us know and we'll add them here.
